Refund policy

Damaged Books or Incorrect Order

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately with pictures if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

You may contact us within 14 days of receiving your goods to arrange for an exchange or refund. Please quote your order number when contacting us.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you no longer require, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Incorrect Addresses

  • If a customer places an order with an incorrect address, we will only fully refund the order IF and WHEN the order has been returned back to us. We will not be refunding shipping.
  • The return of the order is the sole responsibility of the customer.
  • IF the order has NOT been returned back to us, we will not be able to provide a refund due to the address initially being incorrect when the order was placed.

Cancellations (i.e. when an order has been purchased but not yet despatched)

  • We have partnered up with a fulfilment team to ensure customers receive their orders ASAP.
  • They may therefore despatch your order immediately on the same day, or first thing in the morning.
  • Hence we do not accept cancellations if an order has already been despatched.
  • Our customer services team is a very small, family-based team, and we are therefore we MAY be unable to respond to your request for a cancellation in sufficient time; we can sometimes take up to 72 hours, however we do try to get back to you earlier if we can.
  • And, we may not respond to any emails on Saturdays and Sundays.

Returns

  • We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
  • Return or exchanged items delivery costs may be deducted from your refund depending on the reason for return.
  • Returnable / exchangeable items must be unused and in their original condition, including in its original plastic-sealed packaging, and in its original cardboard packaging.
  • For any damaged or defective items, please provide pictures.
  • You’ll also need to include the receipt or proof of purchase.
  • If any item is damaged, soiled or altered this will not be accepted.
  • We cannot take responsibility for any products lost or damaged in transit back to us. 
  • Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. 
  • To start a return:
    • You can contact us at orders@ibndaudbooks.com with the above information.
    • If you wish to exchange your item(s), remember to specify which alternative product you prefer.
    • If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label if it is damaged or defective, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package.
    • Please note that customers will need to cover the cost of 'general' returns (e.g. change of mind), in which case you will need to arrange to return your item(s). We will provide a return mailing address.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
